Day 2

The Individuals: Lizzie Reynolds, Ellie Rappole and Jake Athyal
State of mind: Ellie is playing Soduku and Lizzie is "being a good child" (Ellie's words). Jake is typing (furiously).
The day:
After a hardy breakfast of pancakes we pilled into Erica's van and headed to the church. The service's music was 10/10 and the sermon was very "Spanish". I'm not gonna rate the sermon cause only Rebecca and Emma could understand and they kept laughing at the jokes and we just stood there in awkward silence. Everyone seemed very connected and together and happy and there was a lot of community. Compared to this, our church seems fragmented because there are so many more people. All the members of the congregation were very supportive of one another and there was a part of the service built in for announcements and everyone was like "Yay!!" and clapped a lot.
We then got pizza afterwards to take to the girls school and Lizzie would like you to know that there was cheese in the crust. Then driving there we had to sit for 40 mins with pizza on our lap, its scent wafting into our nostrils, yet holding ourselves back from devouring it. We got to the girl's school, ate the pizza (finally), then we played soccer and volleyball and Lizzie took lots and lots of pictures. Every single girl told Ellie "Tus hermanos estan muy guapos." Ellie then awkwardly said "Thanks". What, I'm not gonna say "Ya, I know." They're not exactly complimenting me. Also, THIS IS A BIG DEAL: They said Will was hotter than Matt Walsh (you're welcome for the juicy gossip).
Then we got back and had a dinner of beans and rice and tortillas. There was also cheese, I don't know if that's important.
Ellie: Everyone's gonna be reading this and be like "Why am I reading a stream of thoughts?"
Lizzie: You know what, it's 10 at night and we're tired.
Then we went outside and played soccer for a while and Abraham (one of the kids) said Rebecca looked like a Croatian soccer player. He then ran away. The player is Vida. Look it up. It makes no sense.
Then we went back to the volunteer house cause all the kids had to go to bed and we had a meeting and then Jason told us we had to do the blog so here we are. (Jake here, Lizzie said this with a smile and wasn't annoyed with Jason.)
We wanted to mention that as we were driving, some of us caught ourselves doing something. It is a way of putting things into perspective. So, if you look at something in Honduras, but also think of something similar in Winchester, you get this split screen (like in Minecraft). One side you would see a person or a restaurant or a house in Honduras, on the other you would see similar things in Winchester. It's an interesting comparison since as it should be the same thing, but they are actually completely different.
